For six-and-a-half-decades the US has waged clandestine warfare on the island nation of Cuba. From the economic sanctions imposed by the Eisenhower administration, to the abortive Bay of Pigs invasion under Kennedy, to the Trump regime’s posting of Cuba on its list of state-sponsored terrorism (SST), Cuban has endured economic hardships, sabotage, assassination attempts and terrorist bombings intended to “bring about hunger, desperation, and the overthrow of [the Castro] government.”

Ty dePass is a founding member of Asere, a cadre formation reaching out to activists engaged in ongoing struggles for social justice and equity in the US. Tonight’s presentation is part of Asere’s living room outreach initiative.
