Nov. 10, 5pm: United Campus Workers, the SC Progressive Network, and the LGBTQ+ advocacy organization IRIS are co-hosting this month’s labor-themed movie, the 2014 film  Pride. The comedy is about the solidarity between UK gay activists and British miners during the long strike of the National Union of Mineworkers in the summer of 1984.

Our panel: Chelsea Fisher (assistant prof in Anthropology and union treasurer), Matt Butler (pres. Harriett Hancock Center) and Will Gunter (member of IRIS, the college ACLU chapter, and Planned Parenthood volunteer).
