Dec. 5, 6:30 – 10pm: Modjeska Simkins Birthday Party. As we do every year, the SC Progressive Network will hold a drop-in to celebrate Ms. Simkins, who continues to inspire and inform our work. This year, her birthday falls on our 1st-Thursday jazz workshop night. We will tell stories and share a glass of port (Modjeska’s favorite) between 6:30 and 7:30pm. At 8pm, the USC jazz improv group New Horizons will perform, followed at 9 by GROW’s own Just Us jazz workshop. The celebration is free and open to all. Please join us for a casual evening with friends.
